Life Beyond 140.
Thanks so much for visiting our site to learn more about the World of the Renegade CEO’s. This page gives additional insight into our world, what it is like for teenagers Growing up Renegade and why we need to connect with people like you from a diverse group of backgrounds and industries. We are an independent organization, a sort of un’company and do not have any political or religious affiliation. Our teens come from all across the U.S. and more than 14 countries abroad. Their common bond is creating products, services and solutions that will improve the quality of life for themselves and others close to them. We are currently networked with over 350 youth/teen centric organizations.
Teen CEO’s are the new ‘disruptive entrepreneurial leaders’. They are fearless, innovative and competitive by nature. They are building the new economy. -Shonika Proctor
Renegade CEO’s is a “global living laboratory” where emerging teen entrepreneurs experiment and manifest their raw talent. We are literally global with teens in our program based in more than 14 countries.

Pioneering an Industry
When the Renegade CEO’s initially emerged on the scene, our program fully encouraged teens who chose to participate in our program to LEAD THE WAY and LEAD WITH PLAY. We sought to fill a MAJOR void - lack of experiential, innovative AND entrepreneurial programs that exist for today’s technologically savvy and visionary teenagers (regardless if that program is offered in school, an afterschool program or workforce development training). Instead of trying to ‘compete’ with that other guy or gal we remained focused on what our mission was ‘Showing Teens How Everything and Everyone Around Them is a Tool to Their Success and Not An Obstacle to It’. We sought out partnerships with other teen centric organizations across the globe, with no expectations of financial compensation. And we learned that surprisingly they were very ‘insular’ and did not want to share resources or connections.
To the most amazing business coach who has helped me from nothing to everything and understands me. @DevonLanders, 19, Texascrawlers.com
A true Renegade CEO challenges not the limits of society, but the limits of oneself. - Shonika Proctor
Growing Up Renegade
We didn’t have a model to work with so we reached out our teens who created the model and culture from Day 1. What we ended up with was a mashup of teens who were inventors, creators, community leaders and others who just wanted to be engaged and connected with the group. They created the name of the organization, the branding and inspired many of the relationships that we have today. At the unanimous request of our teens, we opted out of using traditional ‘old school’ theory and curriculum full of standardized test terms and technical mumbo jumbo. And instead we created our ‘own school’….one without walls or books where teens embrace choose collaboration over competition. They co-exist in a global community and fearlessly LIVE out their individual and collective missions.

We have found that the most successful teen CEO’s are often the ones who are seen by their parents or teachers as ‘unmanageable’ or ‘unruly’. They do not segregate work, learning and play which is often misinterpreted as being unfocused. Our program doesn’t try to channel that energy, instead we unleash it even more.
@ teenbizcoach i *really* admire what you’re doing. i just can’t get over it. @elizabethonline
In our community which is a ‘clear and open space’, once teens recognize their voice matters and is heard; their independent thinking is encouraged and embraced; and that they will get credit for what they contribute - they realize that they have the power to make something happen in the world TODAY and in a HUGE way.
Too often adults speak of teens and their impact on the world in Future Tense when instead they need to speak in Present Perfect Tense. -Shonika Proctor
Teen by Default. Renegade By Choice.
Teens are always in the process of creating and producing things. The teens in my program (still currently in their teen years) have overcome life challenges and hardships; have written and published books; started foundations; franchised their business; leased office space with no co-signer; designed products and had them manufactured; been featured on National Television and built companies from scratch up to more than 5 figures per month in revenues (yep that is more than $10,000 month). Renegade Teens are engaged. They are responsive. They have follow through. They are socially inspired. They get things done. They are connectors….Not just one- but EVERYONE.
@ teenbizcoach u’ve got a positive way of helping teens learn more than just business, but how to live life with hope and expectaton - txs. @profitpuzzle

WE ARE AN ENTREPRENEURIAL ORGANIZATION.
We are an un’company. We are not ‘corporate’ in the traditional sense that most people reference it. And nor are we anti-corporate. We are not a non-profit. And we are not a faith based organization.
We are a mashup of creatives, technogeeks and socially inspired entrepreneurs. We see opportunity and possibilities and the importance of diversity and giving people starting out a chance. Little things grow. You don’t have to be big and branded to connect with us and make a huge impact. We have teens all over the world doing all types of things in all types of industries and in order to best serve them we look to build complimentary strategic and charitable partnerships with other professionals and organizations who can work with us to continue to evolve EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR TEENS .
