You could do better if you knew better….know what I am sayin’? It’s all about being present! I know that some folks in the world frown upon teens having their say, but in the world of the Renegade CEO’s it is very much encouraged. You are not inconviencing me. By supporting you, I grow as well. I hear from Patricio Quezada every single week because he wants to be looped on everything that is going on in the world of teen entrepreneurs and he wants to make sure I am looped with what is going on in his world. Whether he tweets me on Twitter, sends me an email, connects with me on skype, writes on my wall on Facebook or places a phone call I know I am going to hear from him.

So I guess it is no wonder he has been able to quickly act on every opportunity that has come about over recent months and as a result has been able to enjoy $2,995 complimentary admission & scholarship to Serial Internet Entrepreneur and Self Made Millionaire’s Yanik Silver’s Underground 5 Online Marketing Seminar, where he got to network with the likes of Bob Parsons, CEO of GoDaddy.com and Tony Hsieh, Founder of Zappos.com. Then an article was picked up about him in the Washington Business Journal Newspaper. A month later he was interviewing one of his idols, Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, Mike Michalowicz and in the past 2 weeks he has been featured on CNN (see clip above), in a photo shoot for a National Campaign for Teen Entrepreneurs and requested for paid speaking and workshop gigs (outside of his hometown) this summer.

We get media, sponsorship and strategic partnership requests ON THE REGULAR so if you are an aspiring or emerging teen entrepreneur let me hear from you regardless of what stage of business you are in- conceptual or operational! I am here to support you.

You already know your potential, now you just need to fearlessly grow into it.

Continue to elevate.

One of our very own teen CEO’s Danielle Herb of Natural Horsemanship is in the news today. She is on the front page of news station of WCTV (Florida). Here is the clip:

Danielle’s niche business is Natural Horsemanship. She uses horses and equine assisted training techniques to help ADD/ADHD and autistic children to overcome their illnesses naturally without the use of prescription medication. Pretty awesome business concept, huh? Recently after attending Yanik Silver’s Underground Online Seminar (memba’ that….I adopted Danielle days before the event ;-)) we went to Fuddruckers after the day’s conference. There, Danielle, Patricio (www.hispanicslearn.com), Marianne (www.lifeisaplayground.com), Chris (www.networkology.com) and myself started brainstorming for like 3 hours over free refills :) I was on a mission to come up with a name for Danielle’s book (you know me and my obsession with names and titles and branding). So I heard Danielle telling a story about an experience with one of her kids in the program and that sparked “Dropping the Reins”: Peaceful Transformation Techniques for ADD/ADHD & Autistic Children Using Natural Horsemanship (the book) and ‘Drop the Reins”: Learn to Trust (which Danielle came up with for the home study course). We also masterminded our latest creative venture ’Roughly Famous’….another day, another post!

So look out for some more great stories on Danielle Herb of Natural Horsemanship www.danielleherb.com because she is going to be rockin’ the news. And here is the clip again: http://budurl.com/yqe8

And what about you? What unique or interesting business are you doing or what important announcement do you have to make about your business? If you are between the ages of 13-19 don’t forget to write me through the contact form on this page and let me know. I want to get your story out there and maybe, just maybe your local TV, newspaper or radio station may pick your story up or you might even get more clients. You’ll never know if you don’t try.

Hey there, hi there, ho there everybody!

Yanik Silver just made a post on his blog announcing the 10 Young Scholarship Recipients for his recent contest. And the coolest thing ever [at least in the world according to me] is that over half of the winners were teenagers, w00t! w00t! You guys are taking over the world I tell ya ;-)

But anyway, without further adieu….http://twurl.nl/fz0pwg

And a very special Congratulations to the Renegades very own Patricio Quezada of (http://www.hispanicslearn.com)!  Winning all 10 spots definitely would have been nice, but hey, we got our foot in the door and one spot is definitely just the beginning :)

Perhaps you might not be the producer or the director but you could still be a star :) The things that you did or didn’t do ”yesterday” add up to your success or failure today. 7 months ago I saw a trailer for a movie called the YES Movie (www.theyesmovie.com). YES stands for Young Entrepreneur Society. So as soon as I saw it, I said, WOW! That is cool, the folks in my community would love that and could benefit from it. So I wanted to get us involved with it. As evidenced in Exhibit A: Translation- The comments section of the video that is at the end of the post, I asked the Producer of the movie at the ground level- how can I get involved? And he promptly commented back (very much appreciate that) and said that I could help with the promotion of the video. Who else would ever see that comment? I don’t know… So I contacted the Director of the movie and founder of the YES Concept and Community Louis Lautman (always call from the top) and I asked how can I help YOU promote your movie? And he basically said, I am grateful of whatever way you want to get involved.

Yanik Silver made me go there. That’s all I can say.  He made me break out my old school teflon coating suit and sky bike (see image at right). This was a Shonikamine custom designed for me back in 2004 by my friend James Canty of Click One Media. He took close ups of me (when I had much shorter hair) and he did some kind of 3d rendering thingamajiggy. Yes, I know. I was also hip and dangerous a long time ago…don’t act so surprised. ;-) So today, I am back in the lab dusting off and testing my old toys. And I’m also playing around with the new ones that Yanik just sent me. My challenge of the day is to modify my special teflon coating suit. Those curves are still there, but seems they just aren’t where they used to be, lol.  A teflon coating suit is critical when you go on a mission such as this one because you have all those haters and folks trying to dissuade you from going where you KNOW you need and want to go. So you need something that won’t allow those old ideas and ideals to stick. So anywhoo, let me go ahead and share why I had to back go back into the virtual abyss-

Yanik Silver, yes, “THE” with an emphasis on THE…’Serial Internet Millionaire Making, Maverick Business Insider Mastermind Creating, Underground 5 Online Seminar Quaking’ Yanik Silver, invited yours truly, Shonika Proctor aka [words cannot do my coolness any justice] to go with him on his next Top Secret Mission.  So as I prepare I need back up posse–live and uncensored. More specifically I am seeking 10 Entrepreneurs Ages 13-21 [READ: Emerging Young Renegade CEO's] because what fun is getting wild and crazy by yourself? If you’ve ever tried it….it just doesn’t quite work the same. [Sidebar: Leave the parents at home].

These 10 Young People will get to hang with me and Yanik Silver for 3 days in Washington, DC (February 20-22, 2009). Two for one! How fun is that?

But wait it gets better- it’s not even two for one. It’s two for FREE! YOU! Yes, you could be one of ten (10) lucky winners who gets free admission to Yanik Silver’s Underground 5 Online Seminar!

So here’s the quick and dirty:

1. I’m looking for 10 Young CEO’s ages 13-21 who can come to Washington, DC Feb 20-22nd to play with me, Yanik and all our fun entrepreneurial toys. Plus we’ll intro you to all the cool kids.

2.  The 10 best ever, visionary and most fun Young CEO’s will receive a free ’scholarship’ (valued at $2,995 each) to attend Yanik Silver’s Underground 5 Seminar. Here you’ll get schooled by professors who will show you what it really takes to get an MBA (Massive Bank Account)!

3. At the seminar you are also going to get a swag bag with 1,000’s of dollars worth of goodies PLUS you’ll meet self-made millionaires and lots of entrepreneurs (300+) who can open some secret doors for you and your business PLUS you’ll get a closed door coaching session and a special VIP lunch with Yanik and moi.

The contest ends on February 4th…so you totally need to register today:

Enter contest here: http://www.undergroundonlineseminar.com/challenge

If you want to peep the site to see what Underground 5 Seminar is all about and some of the fancy smancy people who will be there visit: www.undergroundonlineseminar.com

Now where did that Zap-a-Minder 5000 disappear to? ;-)

The 34 Rules of Maverick Entrepreneurs that is!  Earlier this year, Yanik Silver, Master Infomarketer and Pursuer of Wild and Crazy Adventures along with a group of his Maverick Entrepreneur friends rented out Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island for a few days to….brainstorm and create. On the return trip home as Yanik reflected back on the trip he became inspired to compile a list of what he calls The 34 Rules for Maverick Entrepreneurs. In the world of business it is sort of like Yanik’s Commandments….think of it like 7th Century 2.0. Anyway, he posted the list some time ago and got over 100 comments to it, so for kicks and grins he “brought it back” (yesterday) which was the last day of him being age 34. And bonus offer- he tied it into a simple contest. So not only am I sharing it with you because it’s a totally fab and fun post, but also because Yanik Silver is one of our hometown heroes, YEAAAAH BOY, DC-MD-VA representing. Yanik is based in my home state of Maryland (which is a beautiful and awesome state, btw, not to mention we have great crabs :) ). So of course I have to give him a shout out! Check out the article and be sure to register for his contest by leaving a quality post. Enjoy! http://tinyurl.com/6qfl4g

And I’ll also leave you with this video of Yanik fulfilling one of his lifelong wishes (doing stand up comedy in a ‘real life’ comedy club, lol). Here’s hoping that today and everyday all year round that many more of his dreams come through :)
