In today’s guest post Marianne St. Clair of Life is My Playground shares her thoughts on why we are going to start seeing more growth in a concept she branded called ‘Reverse Generational Wealth’. Her belief is that times are definitely changing and instead of parents building businesses and have their teens work for them kids will start building businesses and their parents will work for them. Thanks for your guest post, Marianne.

With all the turmoil and chaos that is happening at this time’ one begins to wonder what the world will look like on the other side of this current upheaval. Fortunately one thing is for certain; change is always happening and unfortunately, for some it is more so than others.

Media tends to dwell on the negative side of the current economical status of the world but there is a good side that is emerging also. There has to be a breakdown of current trends and for people to finally wake up to the fact that each and every one of us has to do something different in our lives. Doing the same thing over and over expecting something new to happen just isn’t cutting it any longer. It isn’t really hard for someone to figure that out if they just take a moment and open their eyes to look around.

There have been trendsetters and forward thinking people who have been looking at the state of the earth and downward economical trends for many years hoping the rest of us would wake up. Thank goodness they kept holding their ground on the damaging affects of pollution, plastics and hash chemicals have on not only the horrible state of the planet but also the humans and animals who cohabitate it.

We have been over using our natural resources and been over wasteful and negligent in with our current trends of consumerism. I can remember my grandfather saying to me that one day we would pay for the throw away sociality we have become. Products have made to be thrown away within months after purchase instead of in the past when they were built to last. This causes havoc in our landfills and waste dumping sites.

With nowhere else to turn, we are now forced to take a good hard look at where we are and begin to do something about it. In recent news clips and on talk shows there is a trend of urgency on renewable energy sources. Many have been screaming that from the rooftops for years but now it the time when we all can focus on them.

Big business and the hording of wealth are being broke down before our eyes also.
Like other times in history this is one of the greatest times for grassroots efforts and new products that will pull the economy into stability. Products healthy for the planet and the inhabitants are among the most important.

The media and internet are playing a large part in collapsing the old dominate ways of big business and with the emerging of social media people now can get their products out in front of the public. Who will be developing these new products? That is a question many are trying to find out.

A paradigm shift is occurring from the old model of family business to the new model of creating a family business today. In the past it was the parents who developed the businesses and the children were groomed to one day take over the family fortune and continue it on. Today it is the children with the ideas and innovation. Children as young as 5 and 6 are becoming business owners and their parents are becoming supportive members of the team needed to grow and sustain the business.

Products that are made by the innovative minds of our youth are exploding. Young Entrepreneurs are designing and marketing their goods and services in epic proportions. They know instinctively what is needed for the future. It is their future they are motivated to protect and preserve.

Many parents are joining the reverse generational wealth trend and are helping their budding entrepreneurs to succeed. Families are stronger when they have a common focus and are celebrating life and abundance together. Parents are coming out of corporate jobs to spend time with their children and this is one way to have a positive impact on not only their families but also on the world.
