It’s one thing to get writer’s block, but it’s a whole nutha thang to get writer’s block when you are a blogger, social networking or online ‘information’ marketing guru and need to regularly produce new, fresh and original content. First challenge is you have to keep your current readership interested. You have taken so long to build your list and a community among them so you know what they like and feel but also you have to be able to recruit new readers. So what’s a burned out writer to do? I mean really, how many optimized keywords can you re-optimize and re-package? Well it seems that Social Media Marketing Guru, Chris Brogan, is right on time with his recent post entitled ” Set Your Blog on Fire”…. Fantastic ideas on how to keep your topics spicy and I think that contrary to the word ‘blog’ in the title, some of these tips can be applied to other writing projects. http://tinyurl.com/4j2hm9 . So check it out and let me know what you think about it. In the meantime and in between time, I’ll leave you with this Chris Brogan video…“Don’t Be That Guy”:

Thanks for sharing this stuff. Chris Brogan is definitely one of the go-to guys for social media. And of course, no one wants to be “that guy.” Or, should I say, no one wants to be AROUND “that guy.” (lol)

I know “that guy” and he tries to sell me insurance all of the time. He never will suceed because instead of engaging me, he preaches to me.
Never try to sell something that you don’t believe in, it is like trying to force yourself to fall in love. You can’t do it. When you are truly passionate about what you doing it will ring in the tone of your voice when you talk about it. People will actually enjoying hearing what you have to say.

Right on duncan!
I think he tried to sell me insurance too, lol! At any rate, like I always say, problems equal opportunities. So if you focus on actively seeking out and solving problems for your customers and providing value acccording, you will never be short on topics to write about.
