…The 34 Rules of Maverick Entrepreneurs that is! Earlier this year, Yanik Silver, Master Infomarketer and Pursuer of Wild and Crazy Adventures along with a group of his Maverick Entrepreneur friends rented out Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island for a few days to….brainstorm and create. On the return trip home as Yanik reflected back on the trip he became inspired to compile a list of what he calls The 34 Rules for Maverick Entrepreneurs. In the world of business it is sort of like Yanik’s Commandments….think of it like 7th Century 2.0. Anyway, he posted the list some time ago and got over 100 comments to it, so for kicks and grins he “brought it back” (yesterday) which was the last day of him being age 34. And bonus offer- he tied it into a simple contest. So not only am I sharing it with you because it’s a totally fab and fun post, but also because Yanik Silver is one of our hometown heroes, YEAAAAH BOY, DC-MD-VA representing. Yanik is based in my home state of Maryland (which is a beautiful and awesome state, btw, not to mention we have great crabs
). So of course I have to give him a shout out! Check out the article and be sure to register for his contest by leaving a quality post. Enjoy! http://tinyurl.com/6qfl4g
And I’ll also leave you with this video of Yanik fulfilling one of his lifelong wishes (doing stand up comedy in a ‘real life’ comedy club, lol). Here’s hoping that today and everyday all year round that many more of his dreams come through

Rock on! He was hilarious! I can’t imagine how terrifying it would be to get up in front of people on a stage and try to make them laugh. I mean, I can get up on a stage and easily make people laugh AT me, but laughing WITH you is a totally different story!

LOL, I am with you on that Scott. I think you really have to be good with adlib and also observant. I have self-awareness and why I believe I can find inspiration in everything, I just don’t think I can find humor in everything. It’s definitely a gift….but certainly not mine. Yanik Silver is awesome though. I love his free spirit and sense of adventure.
