Ha, Ha! Great example Megd. Whatever happened to that guy :) I too have stood in front of crowds to speak and worried about how people were going to receive me. And even to present day I still do feel nervous whenever I have to speak. I think it is natural. You really have to focus on if you are speaking one to one instead of one to many. Don't try to rehearse your speech but instead focus on key talking points. I have found that stating my key talking points at the beginning helps me remember the flow and keep my topics organized during my presentation.

I have many times stood in front of a crowd of faces, gripping a microphone and praying to hit all the right notes. I can say that it is a combination of so many feelings. Acceptance is a major one of them, along with just plain being afraid of screwing up. I have found that the way to give your best is to let go and enjoy it. If you think you are great, so will others. Even William Hung was great at being awful!
